David Gilmour and the Fender Custom Shop are extremely proud to release one of the most iconic and highly-anticipated musical instruments of the past 50 years, the Fender Custom Shop David Gilmour Signature Series Stratocaster, based on David Gilmour’s famous “Black Strat” guitar, which is almost as legendary as the David Gilmour himself.
David bought the Black Strat at Manny’s guitar store in New York, USA in May 1970 during Pink Floyd’s North American tour. As fate would have it, David had just weeks earlier bough his first black Stratocaster at the same store but it was stolen along with the rest of Floyd’s rig. Being forced to cancel the rest of the tour David once again visited Manny’s on their way back home and the rest is pretty much history. The Black Strat made its debut performance at the Bath festival in June 1970.

Megadeth’s inclusion as DLC in Rock Band (not to mention past appearances in Guitar Hero games) apparently won’t stifle the group from putting together something “over-the-moon” with Neversoft and Activision for the future.
In a “Scorpion” feature (read: “Ask the Band”) on the band’s website, a couple of fans posed the “What about a Guitar Hero game?” question, to which the lead singer/guitarist Dave Mustaine replied: “I have recently had two very important high-level meetings with the people from Activision and Neversoft, and we are talking about a lot of things.”
He only clarifies a teensy bit, saying a Guitar Hero: Megadeth game “is not attractive” to him and that the Guitar Hero developers have instead offered up a “new idea.” Mustaine also laments past legal run-ins, and hopes that no one “stand[s] in the way of this happening.
” We’ve contacted Megadeth as well as Activision for more information on the subject, and will be rocking as hard as possible while we wait for a reply. Oh, and yes, we suppose we’ll tell you if we hear more.
Baritone guitar strings are available for both electric and acoustic baritone guitars. Electric baritone guitar strings are wound with nickel plated steel and acoustic baritone guitar strings are wound with bronze.
A baritone guitar is typically tuned to B, E, A, D, F# & B, a fourth lower than regular guitar tuning (E, A, D, G, B & e). Some longer scale baritones are tuned to A, D, G, C, E & A, while some shorter scale baritones are typically tuned to C, F, B♭, E♭, G & C. The scale length of baritone guitars can vary from about 27 inches to 30.5 inches.
The long scale length of the baritone guitar is what allows it to be tuned so much lower than a standard guitar while still maintaining acceptably playable string tension. Although it is possible to put baritone guitar strings on many regular scale length (24.75 25.5 inch) guitars, it is inadvisable because the strings will remain slack and not ever come up to their regular tension due to the much shorter scale length of a regular guitar when compared to that of a baritone. Putting baritone guitar strings on a standard guitar and trying to tune them to standard pitch (E, A, D, G, B & E) is also not recommended because doing so can possibly irreparably damage a guitars neck.

I’ve noticed the killer guitar Dave plays around the period that Kerry King was in the Megadeth up to Jeff young period of Megadeth.
I think it might be an esp. It’s a killer guitar with a wood finish and white strip through the middle of the pickups, with tuning pegs on both sides of the headstock.
I’m pretty sure he recorded Killing is my business with it at points.
